BEING LESS TEMPERAMENTAL

BEING LESS TEMPERAMENTAL,
 A STAIR-STEP TO LIVING LIFE FULFILLED.......

By QueenAdiatu Damilola

We cannot deny the fact that some times we loose our Tranquility, due to the fact that some people act so overbearing, greedy, cruel and clingy.

It takes a Matured Soul to overcome being too Temperamental.

Maturity here, is by being able to conceal/control one's Anger;

Anything otherwise, makes YOU Immature irrespective of your age.

1) Being too temperamental will make people run away from you

2) Being too Temperamental will Give you Health Issues, i.e
Head Aches
Stomach Aches
High Blood Pressure,
Excetra.

3) Being too Temperamental Shuts the door of Help / Favour from Man and God Himself.

4) Being too Temperamental does not bring about fortunes but brings about misfortunes and Havoc.

5) Being Too Temperamental makes you loose guard on the proper way to fight and win an Enemy.

If you think you have friends, they are just there for a purpose/reason and when the purpose/reason is over,
you would be left all alone to yourself....

LESSONS TO BE LEARNT;

Patience is not an act of weakness,

 It is an act of
 The Ancient,
 The Strong and
 The Wise;

In order to overthrow any unpleasant Circumstance to your favour,

Win the Enemy,

Make Corrections over Disputes,

We must Inevitably adopt an Attitude of Patience, as this is a keen factor to Living Life Fulfilled....

THE STORY OF AN ORPHAN !!!

By QueenAdiatu Damilola

There lived an Orphan who had Big Dreams, He was Meek at Heart, Generous, Friendly, Social, to all and sundry;

But sundry was the other side of the Coin to the Meek Hearted Orphan.

In his pursuit to achieving his dreams; There were a lot of road block's, Obstacles, Disappointment, Criticism, Failed Love, Betrayal and Neglect.

The Orphan said to himself,

"I AM AN ORPHAN";

I have no Father, Mother or Siblings,
But "I HAVE A DREAM";

Now I would summon up Courage, keep up with my Struggle, Though I fail and Fall, I would get back up again, Even If I die trying,
I would be glad I tried while in Yonder; Than accept a fate of Failure, Weakness, Inability, Depression, Low Self Esteem, Social Inferiority and Rejection.

This decision was made by
"MR ORPHAN"
Ten (10) years ago.

Today,
"MR ORPHAN"
is the CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER of
TIME COMMODITIES PLC
the Largest Gainer in the World's Stock Market.

In Conclusion, below are facts derived from the Short True Life Story Above,

1) The Character Above is an Orphan, some one who had no relations, was a free giver to people, yet life and people were Unfair to him. He Summed up COURAGE to Pursue His Dreams Fiercely, Irrespective of a Cruel World Surrounding Him.

2) MR ORPHAN got Busy;

He didn't just seat at home Jobless, Although he was Literary Jobless, but he created a Job for himself by Enterprising his Talent and Ideas.

3) Time came to his Aid,

Time is everything, even if you are in the struggle today, give it time, things will become better with time if you keep working hard.

Ten years later, MR ORPHAN became the World's Top Gainer in the Stock Market, this means we should always Persevere, no matter what ever tribulations we face, nothing last forever;

All seasons in Life are subjected to change.

Life is like a tank, how much hard work, savings and Investment you fill into the tank, Determines the Fullness of the Tank at a latter time;

 A tank don't just get Filled up of a sudden, It takes time to fill up.

While your Tank is yet to be filled with riches, don't stop pouring into it, as whatever input goes into the tank is what you get at a later time.

Don't get weary, work hard;

Its called "HARD WORK" not "SOFT WORK",
So be sure to expect Challenges and Objections even from Loved ones; But do not throw in the towel.

Work Hard and Don't give up.

The Power Of Giving – How To Live A Life Of Meaning
Success Advice
by Joel Brown -

Even after obtaining what may be considered as ‘enough’ for personal fulfillment, many still feel a void inside them that yearns to be filled.

This is where the power of giving is then realized.

Anyone Can Give

Some people would be inclined to think that only those who are sufficiently endowed financially should give to charity. But one must always remember that giving starts form personal will or from the heart, a thing that every human being has no matter their financial or material standing. So long as whatever is given, whether a service or material gift, makes a positive impact and difference on the life of the recipient, then it qualifies to be a charitable gift. But it must be given unconditionally without any expectation of a reciprocal action from the receiver.

At the same time, you do not have to move far from where they are in order to find a worthy cause in which to exercise charity. Numerous statistics are produced each year that show various problems people face all over the world. These people are all around us. They are hardly a few meters away. For example, statistics show that one out of four people in the world are facing starvation. This means that starving people are just within our reach. What then prevents us from engaging in acts of charity?

Why Don’t Some People Give?

While a good number of people will give out selflessly despite their meagre capabilities, others who may even be more endowed do not give to charity. They claim that they first have to achieve substantially at a personal level before they can give to others. They seem to follow the idea developed in Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. In this, one rises through several levels of needs. After one need is fulfilled, then they move to the next level until they reach the peak in this pyramid of needs.

This kind of outlook would be too narrow to allow someone to give. This is because the complex nature of the human being forces us to seek for more, no matter what we may already have. As such, the urge to get more may never end. This is why some people never give to others. They do not realise that the path of self-fulfilment starts right at the bottom of the pyramid and that is where giving should start, not after you have fulfilled all of your possible personal needs.

The reason why some people do not give is because they act out of a consciousness of scarcity, they believe that they do not have it in them to give, that they have nothing of value to share with the rest of the world and that they have to be a certain type of person to give or that there is not enough to go around. All of this is far from the truth, anyone and everyone has something they can offer one another.

Giving Has Immense Personal Benefits

As stated earlier, giving does not necessarily mean giving out money or material items. People give not because they have but because they have that inherent urge to give. In fact, many well-known philanthropists did not start their charity work when they got rich. They probably didn’t know that they would become rich even when they started charitable work.

Even without any material gift to offer, sharing your ideas can have immense personal benefits. Ideas can transform others greatly. Many great things that have been achieved in the world emanated from simple ideas. The benefit of sharing your ideas is that the effect will somehow boomerang back to you. By listening to your own ideas repeatedly as you share with others, you may eventually be inclined to put them in practice yourself with wonderful results. You will be unlocking your own potential of self fulfilment. It may eventually seem like a miracle but that is how selfless giving works.

By giving out what you have without expecting anything in return, you start living a meaningful life. You get to realise your true calling in a life and world full of challenges. If you find meaning in the lives of those in need and do something about it, you will also find meaning in your own life. You find yourself in better health and peace and you achieve more happiness. That is the magic of selfless giving.

“You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.” – Kahlil GibranGibran

SUCCESS STORY(2)

March 11th 2012, Carlos Slim Helu was declared the richest man in the world for the third consecutive time by Forbes magazine. While many people admire, criticize or detest his achievement; not many know how he came about his wealth.

We may all know the biography of Carlos Slim Helu but not many know the behind-the-scene secret of how he acquired his wealth. In an interview he granted Larry King of CNN; Carlos Slim Helu highlighted his business philosophy and principles. And based on this interview, below is an extract, the secret to success of Carlos Slim Helu.

 How Carlos Slim Helu became the Richest Man in the World

1. He started a business The first secret of becoming a billionaire is starting a business. But before I proceed; I want to ask a question. If Carlos Slim Helu was an employee, would he have become the richest man in the world? My answer is no.

You can never amass wealth working for someone else; you can never become a billionaire holding on to a job. Take a look at the Forbes list of world billionaires and you will observe that it’s a list dominated by entrepreneurs and investors. This simply connotes that you can never become wealthy keeping a job. Larry Ellison, Bill Gates, Warren Buffett and Carlos Slim Helu all held the coveted position of the richest man in the world by building a business.

 2. He was prepared Many people took notice of Carlos Slim Helu when he made a move to acquire Telmex and emerged on the Forbes list of world billionaires but prior to that; Carlos Slim Helu has been preparing to undergo the entrepreneurial process. One attribute of becoming a successful entrepreneur is the ability to recognize business opportunities when it comes knocking. Aliko Dangote (the richest black man in the world) once said that to succeed in business; you have to pray for a big break and be prepared to take advantage of opportunities when it comes.

 All successful entrepreneurs prepared and waited for the right time to make their big move. Carlos Slim Helu also had his big break and he was prepared for it; this was why he became the richest man in the world.

 3. He understood his business to the core Another reason why Carlos Slim Helu became the richest man in the world was because he understood his business to the core. Carlos Slim Helu is reputed to control over 200 companies all over the world. How did he start? How did he get there?

He was able to start a business and grow to over 200 companies because he understood his business to the core. “How can you be on top of the things you do? I think when you are involved in a business first of all; you need to know the business. After you know the business, you can let the numbers tell you what is happening. You can read with the numbers to know if things are going well or if things are not going well. You make co-operation with your competitors; you look at the international references to try to achieve the best reference nationally. The numbers talk to you.” – Carlos Slim HeluHelu

  4. He stuck to the game Entrepreneurship is a game; so also is investing. To succeed in this game, you must be committed to the entrepreneurial process and play to win. Before emerging the richest man in the world; Carlos Slim Helu has already found success as an entrepreneur and had every cause to retire. Yet, he stuck to the process. “Yes. I think that anything that has privileges has responsibility. All this is responsibility and compromise.

Compromise and responsibility are not only for me and my family, but also the management team to have the responsibility to know the importance of what we are doing and that at the end of temporarily managing this; we don’t take anything when we pass away. And we do need to do business with a sense of responsibility.” – Carlos Slim Helu Every one celebrates and admires the entrepreneurial prowess of Carlos Slim Helu; but only few people can be able to tell what it takes to build a successful business.

Carlos Slim Helu first emerged the richest man in the world in 2010 and retained the position in 2011 but he didn’t get there overnight. It took him 45 years of commitment, focus and competence to achieve this feat. “I think work, investments and reinvestments. My father used to say that the money that gets out of a company evaporates.

 That means he was thinking in terms of investments and reinvestment and reinvestment. That is one of the things we do. Other things that we do are in good times, we maintain our winning streak.” – Carlos Slim Helu

 In conclusion, I leave you with a business quote from Carlos Slim Helu about becoming the richest man in the world:

“Becoming the richest man in the world is not championship. It’s the competence; the competence in your sector with other companies not looking to have some kind of records in this issue.” – Carlos Slim Helu

FOUR SECRETS OF SUCCESS

Credits to Panos Mourdoukoutas.

Of all the goals people set in life, two stand out: success in our personal and professional lives. It turns out, these two are interdependent.

Personal success supports and reinforces professional success. Professional success reinforces personal success. And together, they reinforce life’s most important pursuit — happiness.

That’s why both goals are on top of everyone’s agenda, especially the 20-something generation, as they begin the life journey from their parents’ nest.

How are these goals achieved? What does it take?

If you ask Rhonday Byrne, she’d tell you it’s The Law of Attraction.

Byrne argues in The Secret for the power of positive thoughts, which she says will act as a powerful magnet to bring things your way, and help you to identify and externalize your internal strengths and capabilities.

**** Put good things in your mind, says Byrne, and they’ll happen.

While positive thought may be a necessary condition for bringing out strengths and capabilities, it isn’t sufficient, counters Ken Robinson and Lou Aronica in The Element. That’s the second secret to success.

***"** Maybe you are exceptional in drawing, dancing, cooking, or some other field. That’s where you ought to position yourself. You must find your own “element,” your passion– the right field of study, the right occupation, sport or activity that matches your inner strengths and capabilities — which you might or might not even know you possess.

****** Besides, luck, being in the right place at the right time often makes a big difference – which is why you should be willing to try and try again, learning how to endure failure. That’s the third secret of success, according to Scott Adams, author of How to Fail at Almost Everything And Still Win Big. “There is plenty of luck to go around; you just need to keep your hand raised until it’s your turn,” argues Adams. “If you drill down into any success story, you always discover that luck was a huge part of it. You cannot control luck, but you can move from a game with bad odds to one with better odds. You can make it easier for luck to find you. The most useful thing you can do is stay in the game. If your current get-rich project fails, take what you learned and try something else. Keep repeating until something lucky happens.”

The problem is, however, we cannot keep trying forever. Our life journey may finish before we raise our hand a sufficient number of times to take advantage of what statisticians call the “law of large numbers” – which provides equal chances for each possible outcome to occur.

Besides, getting your turn to succeed won’t work unless you can execute, and steer away from harmful behavior that destroys whatever progress you have made towards success.

**** That’s where the fourth secret comes in: get your priorities right; use your resources wisely; stay focused; develop the right relations; don’t be greedy; and don’t be complacent.

SUCCESS STORY

Sexually abused at 9; Ran away from home at 13; pregnant at 14; Beauty queen at 17; abused drugs in her 20s; first
black American woman on National T.V in America and Millionaire at 32.

Sounds strange but true. Zero to Hero:

Oprah Winfrey Oprah Winfrey one of the most respected Black American women in the world started out a deprived black American girl in the poor city of Kosciusko, Mississippi to unmarried lovers. She started her early education in the kitchen of grandmother because her maid mother could not afford formal education. Her grandmother, Hattie Mae Lee, was so poor that Oprah often wore dresses made of potato sacks, for which the local children made fun of her.

 At 14 after the death of her son shortly after his birth; Oprah was shipped off to her father Nashville Tennessee; who was strict and made education her priority. She went on to high school and became the teachers’ pet but that did not stop her falling into some tumultuous relationships. That introduced her back to hardship. Determined to make her life work, at 17 she entered a local beauty pageant and won Miss Black Tennessee beauty pageant; becoming the most popular girl in school.

She also attracted the attention of the local black radio station, WVOL, which hired her to do the news part-time. She worked there during her senior year of high school, and again while in her first two years of college. In 1983, Winfrey relocated to Chicago to host WLS-TV's low-rated half-hour morning talk-show, AM Chicago. The first episode aired on January 2, 1984. Within months after Winfrey took over, the show went from last place in the ratings to overtaking all talk-shows as the highest rated talk show in Chicago. It was renamed The Oprah Winfrey Show, expanded to a full hour, and broadcast nationally beginning September 8, 1986. (Lesson Learned: you are only a failure if you fail to try)

 Today; Winfrey is "arguably the world's most powerful woman" by CNN and Time.com, "arguably the most influential woman in the world" by the American Spectator, "one of the 100 people who most influenced the 20th Century" and "one of the most influential people" of 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009 till date by Time. So now you know it is not how highly placed your birth is but, what you decide to make of your life. If you sit down and wallow in self pity you would amount to nothing and life would move on without you. Remember, it is not over until you say so…
